Uploads may be analysed to train Canva's AI
Documented warning- What can happen
- Canva states it may analyse account activity, content, and media uploads to train its algorithms, models, and AI products, and points users to its privacy controls page to manage this. Canva Education student content is excluded.
- Why it matters
- The material people upload here is often a client's: brand assets, unreleased artwork, photography under licence. That is a different risk from a text prompt.
- Who should be careful
- Agencies and freelancers working under a confidentiality agreement, and anyone uploading third-party licensed assets.
- What to do about it
- Visit the privacy controls page and set it before the first upload, and check what your client agreement says about processing their assets in a third-party tool.
