CapCut is excellent at what it does. It is also owned within the TikTok corporate structure, collects material for machine learning training by its own account, offers no clear training opt out, and does not disclose where the data sits. For personal content that may be an acceptable trade. For confidential client footage it is a decision to make deliberately rather than by default.
